Our Sweet Past

This poem was not written by me and it was written by one of my best friends. I got it from her as a gift. I decided to add it to my blog because it is one of my favorites. I really love this poem and enjoy by reading it as it is reminds me my sweet friend and our sweet past memories.

To Dear Yasasi,

I’m not a poet,
Nor a composer nor a sonneteer
Though I was one of them,
No ease in including-
Our friendship in words.

Sometimes what we did
And talked were crazy.
But we got joy from them.
We always enjoyed working together
You were the most trustworthy
Friend I found ever.

We saw the difference-
Between a chocolate and sigiriya.
How many times we sighed together
We admired what Wordsworth thought.
Form year seven towards,
How much cricket affected our lives.
Don’t forget the battle between-
King Rawana the great and king Kashyapa.
My precious things under your care.
We protect what our lives spare.

Sometimes life is a breeze
Often it is a wind
Perhaps it can be a strome
Don’t get involved in hurricanes

In bliss in tears- in troublesome fears
My dear fellow – I remind you
In ruins in sighs – whenever with Sinhalese
I wish you never – forget me, forever.

In wind in water- in blue or green
Our friendship – will exists
As in Robin Hood – or in Clarke Kent
As it lived – in our sweet past.

From – Your ever loving friend
Pramuditha

Great Quotes (Part 1)

Smooth roads never make good drivers.
Smooth sea never makes good sailors.
Clear skies never make good pilots.

Problem free life never makes a strong person.
Be strong enough to accept the challenges of life.
Don’t ask life, “Why me?” Instead say, “Try me!”

One day you might see yourself walking alone on a new path.
No one seems in sight. No one seems to have walked it earlier.
Don’t give up midway. You’re on the right track.
Go on. Reach your dreams.
The reason why you do not see anyone is because,
The world is following you.

My best friend

Today I found my best friend,
She knew everything about me,
She knew my every weakness, and secrets,
Knew my dreams,
Knew my interests,
Every time she understood my problems,
And encourage me.
Advice me to think in positive ways,
And promised she'll stay with me long.

I went to near her to hold her hand,
To show how much I care for her,
To show how much I love her,
To show how much I need her,
But I realized this best friend I found
Was nothing but my mirror.

Mistakes make man perfect.

Why do we make mistakes? Because there is no anyone perfect. If there are no mistakes, then how would we able to learn from our life?

There is a saying "Show me a man who has made no mistakes, and I will show you a man who has not learned anything.” I always agreed with this comment. I have made some huge mistakes in my life and my mistakes make me wiser. You will probably make the same mistake more than once; that's ok. Just make sure that at one point you realize doing the same thing the same way over and over again and expecting different results.

We all are humans. We will make mistakes. In the next time someone may be talks you down, when some mistake have made from you. Don’t be afraid just look them and ask “What? Have you never made a mistake before? “. I am sure they will never have an answer.

Remember, Mistakes are a part of our life and we learn from our mistakes and make them right again.

Everything has to end……….

Everything has to end somewhere,
There is nothing which doesn’t end,
Which doesn’t come to its conclusion,
Can’t go on forever,
Everything has an end in this world and
Nothing lasts forever……….Doesn’t it?
